What USCIS asks of the photo
Size
2 × 2 inches — square. Digital photos: 600 × 600 pixels minimum.
Color
Color photo, taken in the last six months, on a white or off-white background.
Your face
Full face, straight at the camera, neutral expression, both eyes open.
Head size
Your head, chin to crown, fills between half and two-thirds of the frame.
Glasses
No eyeglasses, since November 2016. No hats, except religious wear worn daily.
