What welcomeUSA is, and is not

It helps you prepare your own immigration petition by putting your answers on the official USCIS forms and checking your packet for completeness. You are the person filing your petition.

Nothing on this site or in the software is legal advice, and using it does not create an attorney-client relationship. Our completeness check is a software check, not a legal review.

USCIS filing fees are set by the government and are paid by you directly to USCIS. They are never collected by welcomeUSA.

Decisions on immigration petitions are made by the U.S. government. We cannot promise approval, a timeline, or an outcome.

If you choose to work with an attorney through welcomeUSA, that attorney is an independent licensed professional who is not our employee. They set their own fees and are responsible for the legal services they provide.

Your information is encrypted in transit and at rest. We do not share it with USCIS or anyone else; you decide when and how to file. You can delete your account and data at any time from your account settings. The full privacy policy will be published here before launch.

The consumer terms of service, including refund terms for the petition draft, will be published here before launch.

Local tax. A billing address in the United States, paid with a US payment method, is a US sale. It is not charged local tax in another country. Local tax applies when the billing address or the payment method is in that country. The country notices say this in Spanish and Portuguese.

Brazil. A buyer in Brazil can cancel within 7 days of the payment, or of the portal opening if that is later, for any reason. We return what they paid, right away, with no cancel fee. After those 7 days the first payment is not refundable. Stopping the petition means nothing further is charged.
