Form guide
Form I-751 removes the conditions from a two-year marriage green card. It is filed in the 90 days before the conditional card expires — usually by both spouses together — and its heart is evidence that the marriage has been real since the day it began.
Part by part
The 90 days before the conditional card expires. The receipt extends your status while USCIS decides.
Both spouses sign — or one files alone under a waiver, for situations the law names.
The marriage across two years: joint finances, shared address, children, insurance, the daily record of a life together.
Watch for
Missing the 90-day window — early is rejected, late needs an explanation
Evidence from the wedding but nothing since — the two years are the point
One signature on a joint filing
Using Form I-90 instead — renewal is not how conditions are removed
Every one of these is a completeness problem — the kind the software checks for before your packet is marked ready.
