Entered to build a life together: shared home, shared finances, photographs across time, people who know you as a couple.
The petitioner’s status
Proof your spouse is a U.S. citizen — passport, naturalization certificate, or birth certificate.
Support and admissibility
The affidavit of support, meeting the income requirement — a joint sponsor can help when income falls short.
Your own immigration history, answered truthfully; some histories need a waiver first, and the check flags that early.
